DPI: What is the main concept of Aleksey&Marina's art projects ?
A&M: Actually, the main concept is an experience by ourselves new trip, histories which ourselves and create. In something our creativity is similar to process of dreams. Dreams are badly supervised by reason, but they often specify in those things which really excite (touch) consciousness. And our projects are an area of practical application of our creativity. Sometimes it seems to us, that we at all do not create images, and we learn them. A photo for us - it's a key from the novel. With its help we open doors behind which there are new images, and at times and the new worlds.

DPI: What make you guys working together ?
A&M: If the concept of Yin and yang is familiar to you, means you know the answer to this question. :-)

DPI: Who has affected the art you create ?
A&M: Predetermination.

DPI: Where did you get inspiration from ?
A&M: All inspiration - from the God.
If something not from It, it is already plagiarism. :-) If you mean any concrete things, capable to wake imagination, like Newton's apple, it first of all (but it is not exclusive!) music. Music smoothly gives rise in each of us new images and ideas. And in general, everything - absolutely all can become the inspirer.

DPI: What else do you want to create but you haven't done it yet ?
A&M: Now all our intentions concern not so much the creativity (creativity for us - the first condition of existence), how many its practical application. For this reason we have started separate project Calendars in the context of, we create series (collection) of the works united by the individual concept and intended for use in corporations walls gift calendars. (Something like Pirelli calendars). Now we try to expand the partner circle with all who is interested in it - with publishers, magazines, galleries, advertising agencies. As artists we would like to publish in further own albums, but not simple collections of photos as it is usually accepted, and on similarity of a musical album - with the certain set idea, a theme. Probably - accompanied by music, texts or sayings.

DPI: What it the challenge when you guys working together ?
A&M: We work for a long time together and we know each other very well. It's allows not to spend force for competition and finding-out "who it is better". Simply everyone gives all the best on all of 100% in that, for what undertakes.

DPI: Who is your favorite photography artist ?
A&M: There is no faultless photographers, from our point of view, and was not. Otherwise we would not be engaged in a photo. :-) There are only separate masterpieces of separate authors. And photographers which simply respected by us. Both among last, and among the modern. But names we will not name - not to offend those whom we did not name.

DPI: Do you have any funny story while you guys were creating the art works ?
A&M: In an operating time anything especial did not occur. After all the numerous naked beauties it is a daily occurrence of many photographers. :-) And here that is interesting, so it that very often our photos influence destiny of those whom we photograph. It turns out so, that we with our works open new prospect of a life before the person. It occurs both to models, and with private clients. However, it began to occur recently. Earlier the such occurred only to those with whom we sincerely sympathised. For last year we observed: at one our client after shootings its business has sharply gone uphill; at another - thoughts on divorce were replaced by new tender feeling to the husband; the third, having gone through before suicide attempt, has begun a new life and now plans to give birth to the child; the fourth, on the contrary, being in depression after sorts, after shooting became successful business-woman (and in photo-business).

DPI: Which photo tool does Aleksey&Marina use ? Why ?
A&M: Aleksey works, basically, with two cameras Nikon, one camera is analogue(for photo film), it is used for for art photos of project PHOTOPAINTING. In the subsequent Marina is engaged in films, transforming photos in something reminding painting. Other camera - digital Nikon, and it approaches for commercial projects, glamour. Also for shootings we use the complete set of professional studio flashlight Hensel.
Marina as the visagiste works with the mixed cosmetics, not preferring any concrete firm. In its arsenal there is both means of a professional make-up, and a usual decorative cosmetics. And in general, as over our projects we work basically together, Marina's work is much wider, than just make-uper. Marina develops suits, processes negatives for PHOTOPANTING, the post work production of digital photos is held. In our duet, more often, Marina is responsible for an art part, while Aleksey - for technical (shooting, websites building).

DPI: What did you like to do when you are free ?
A&M: Photography for us it not only a trade, but also a way of life. Therefore free time from a photo at us causes stress. :-) It does not mean, that we sleep with the camera. But we look at the world as if through the view-finder, and our life - one big shooting. When we are free from orders, we start is boundless creative shooting or we search for ideas which will grasp us.
